Birthday #6

How was your weekend?  I hope great!

This is a card that I found on someone's blog showing Stampin' Up! Convention photos.  Not everything on this card is SU! but the idea is the same.  I LOVE banners!!

Birthday #5

I decided to use my new Simply Scored tool from Stampin' Up! to make a few medallion flowers.  They're so fun and easy to make.  I think this card would be fun to give a teenaged girl.

Birthday #4

Good morning!

I found the idea for this card on Lucy Abrams' blog.  She is a really talented card maker and I get lots of inspiration from her.

Birthday #3

I know I saw a similar card on someone's blog somewhere, but I can't remember who.  Loved the idea of using fabric.  It gives it such a home made feel.  This would be a great card for the quilter/seamstress in your life, yes?

My Weekend and Birthday Card #1

Hello!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  My Saturday was great because I had a bunch of friends over to make cards at my Card Class.  I love visiting with everyone.  I have one more September session next week that I'm also looking forward to.  Yesterday, I was moved to tears again, as I watched television coverage 9/11.  How can it be 10 years ago?  I still grieve with/for those families that lost loved ones in the tragedy but I also feel hope as they talk about how happy they are today.

But enough rambling.  On to the first card in my Birthday Card series.  Check back every Monday thru Friday for the next 3 weeks for Birthday card ideas!

The Same, But Different....

Hello!

We've been enjoying a nice Labor Day today.  The clouds decided to come for a visit providing excellent shade for our backyard barbecue with the grandparents.  It was good just to sit and visit for awhile.

My last project to show is this bookmark.  I broke out my In Colors and butterfly stamps again.  Oh how I love opening my book to see something so cheerful!

I told you that this weekend I've been working on birthday cards for the gals at work, 15 in all.  I'm about half way done so check back.  I'll be posting "Fifteen Days of Birthday Cards" soon!
