Another Valentine Banner

Hello!

First of all, check me out!  My Bingo Valentine Banner card was featured at My Crafty World!  My card is #9.  Thanks, Tiffany!

{Yes, I know. There is a TON of brown in this room.  As soon as the weather warms up enough for spray painting, the end table, coffee table and magazine holder all will receive a new coat of paint and distressing.  The only color I've decided on for sure so far is white for the end table.  I also have plans to add white painted shutters above the piano to use as a backdrop for a wreath of some kind.  It's all coming together, but slowly.}

I showed you that I've been updating my living room.  Part of that, is a gallery wall.  I've seen lots of examples on Pinterest and other blogs and the ones that are my favorite are the ones that aren't measured exactly.  I love the relaxed look of just eyeballing the frames.  I plan to get some other shaped frames in there, too.

I found this particular frame at the D.I. (my local thrift store).  It was 75 cents and already had that Aqua frame.  I knew it would look great on the wall because it was a shade or two darker than the wall color.  It actually was a white board in its former life, but I had a plan.  I wanted it to be a home for seasonal banners.  I'm thinking I won't be able to put as many of my holiday decorations in that room now just because the color scheme is so specific.  But I do want something of each holiday in there so I thought that small banners would work.

I have this great SU! patterned paper called First Edition that I put over the white board part.  I knew it would be a great backdrop for whatever banner I made to hang on the frame.  My first banner is one for Valentine's Day.

I used my Silhouette to cut little white doilies.  Then I used my Slice to cut the letters.  I LOVE that font!  Then I used my punches for the bottom of each pennant, the trim accents and circles and lastly added stitching, buttons and brads.  The awesome clear buttons belonged to my grandma. Then I used my SU! Cherry Cobbler bakers twine.  Love that stuff!

Here it is hanging happily in its new home!

Thanks for joining me at the Table today!
