On the day after Thanksgiving….

Hello!

Since I'm not out braving the crowds on this fine Black Friday, I thought I'd pop in and tell you that I have a fun Advent Calendar idea on the We R blog today.

I made it with the new Candy Box Punch Board.  Go check it out!

Harvest banner

Hello!

Here I am procrastinating again.  I made a Fall banner for my gallery wall although I'll be taking it down in two days to put up my Christmas decor.  Oh well.  I'll just say that I'm ahead for next year. ;)

I pulled out the Harvest collection from We R Memory Keepers.  This isn't a traditional Autumn themed collection.  It definitely has some of those Autumnal colors, but they've also included a muted mint/aqua and navy-ish colors.  The colors  remind me of a Fall evening.  There are lots of visual textures in the papers as well, which makes creating simple.  I don't feel like I have to add lots of embellishments yet there is a lot of depth.    I love it this collection!  Do I say that about every We R collection?  What can I say?  They do a great job!

I decided to keep my Fall banner simple and maybe a little on the sparse side….it reminds me of the trees outside my window.  They just have one or two leaves left and maybe a few berries or fruit.

I love that We R included a fun chevron chipboard alpha that coordinates with the papers.  I layered those with some of the embossed stickers, We R textured card stock, and candy dots from Stampin' Up!  Then to fill up in-between the leaves (which I cut with my Silhouette), I used patterned paper and washi tape from We R and washi from Stampin' Up!  Then I attached it all to some We R sparkly twine with my tiny attacher.  I love how it turned out!

Take your cue from me and create something Fall-ish.  It's not too late!

Stampin' Up!(MDS) + Silhouette = A Super Awesome Christmas Card

Hello!

You didn't think you'd be doing math today, did you? ;)

Well, never fear.  You're not going to have to put on those algebraic thinking caps.  But I did want to share a fun Christmas card with you today that combines two of my paper crafting loves….Stampin' Up! and the Silhouette cutting tool.

I am really enthralled with the negative image trend that is going on in the paper crafting world.  It's simple, yet stunning.

The deer image is from the Jolly Bingo Bits images you can buy in My Digital Studio.  I had a lot of fun when this was a stamp set.

After enlarging the image, I cut it out of Naturals Ivory card stock.   I embossed that panel with the Woodgrain embossing folder then backed it with Season of Style DSP.

Another trend I'm totally loving is gold.  I embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder.  It gives this rustic card an elegant feel.

And of course, I couldn't leave well enough alone so I decided the deer needed stand-out Rudolph nose.  I cut the nose out of Cherry Cobbler card stock and then covered it in Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

If you have My Digital Studio and a Silhouette machine, you should try this technique.  You'll be hooked!

A Moxie Fab Thanks and So Long to Cath

Hello!

Welcome to the Moxie Thanks! Blog Hop.  You should have come here by way of  Cathy Andronicou's fun blog!

In case you don't know, Cath Edvalson has been an integral part of Paper Crafts magazine for many years and has been the brains behind the Moxie Fab column and Moxie Fab World blog.

We know the only constant we can count on is change, and Cath is saying so long (I just can't say goodbye) to Paper Crafts magazine and the Moxie Fab World blog.

While I have never had the pleasure of meeting Cath in person, I always loved when I would turn the page to the Moxie Fab column in every issue of Paper Crafts magazine and see her beautiful smile.  She just looks like such a fun person and her Moxie Fab challenges were super inspiring!

I decided to make an "I Miss You Already" card in her honor, because I know that although I'm really excited to see the new magazine format, I will miss seeing that sparkling smile in the new issues of Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine.  Here's to you, Cath.  I wish you all the best in your new adventures!

I used supplies from Stampin' Up!, Simon Says Stamp, and random bits from my stash.

Thank you so much for visiting.  Now off you go to see the awesome creation that belongs to Cornelia Wenokor!

Thanks for stopping by the Table today!
